Humanist Old Barn Wedding at Sunbury Golf Club Shepperton
Sunbury Golf Club may look like quite an unassuming venue from the outside, but once you enter through the doors, you find that the interior is more like a spacious barn. With wooden beams and high ceilings, the rural theme of Hannah and Ben’s wedding venue extended throughout with country style hessian seat covers, fairy lights and vibrantly colourful bouquets (which matched the cake perfectly). A friend of the bride and groom decorated the room, and did a cracking job making everything tie together, creating a very warm and welcoming atmosphere for the guests.
During the beautiful humanist ceremony, the loved-up bride and groom couldn’t keep their hands off each other, while the pageboys walked around the room showing the rings to the guests. A really lovely touch to have their guests be involved in the day’s ceremony as much as possible, and the boys were so well behaved throughout it all (despite it taking a little longer than expected)! There was a real relaxed family feeling to the whole wedding day, and the kids had a ball. They danced to their own little disco beat through their mobile phones, and they even got some pizzas delivered for dinner! How’s that! Some have it lucky! It was so relaxed, even the bride and groom ended up eating their meal sitting on the floor with some of their guests.
There were lots of great little touches that made the day very special, one being that guests could take photographs and get them printed out instantly to take home as a memento. A laidback and memorable day, this was a wedding that perfectly reflected the couple, and was a pleasure to be a part of.
