Summer Rectory Farm Wedding Cambridge
There’s nothing quite as idyllic as a stunning wedding on a warm summer’s day! With the sun shining and the prosecco flowing, Hilary and Oscar’s Rectory Farm wedding in the Cambridge countryside was the perfect mix of formal and fun.
Sunglasses were definitely the order of the day as Hilary and Oscar’s humanist wedding ceremony was held outside in the fresh summer air, and as friends and family gathered outside the marquee, the ushers were on hand to pass around beers to cool them down before the big event.
Outside the stunning country house, the gardens and vast open spaces at Rectory Farm offered the perfect location for guests to mingle and relax, and the rug-covered hay bales for guests to sit on were a nice rustic touch too. The nearby trees and bushes provided the perfect backdrop for the group photographs, and a special mention has to go to the Bridal party who really went all out, jumping around and throwing their bouquets in the air to try and get the best photos!
From the bride’s side to the groom’s – this wedding was unique as not every wedding has two best man speeches. Even though I saw one of the best men practising this speech before the ceremony, sometimes nothing helps more than a bit of Dutch courage… the speeches went down a storm and it was on to the dance floor to let off some steam.
Hilary, Oscar, and their friends and family were such a fun bunch of people who were up for anything, from corny dance moves (including some old-school crawling through each other’s legs), to messing about in the group photos, this was definitely no ordinary summer wedding!
