Elegant The County Arms Wedding Wandsworth SW18
Situated in Wandsworth, The County Arms is a perfect location for a wedding, thanks to its unique combination of traditional style and modern elegance, the wedding of Marius and Joanna went off without a hitch (well, except for the obvious one!).
Photographing the bridal and wedding ceremony preparations is one of my favourite parts of any big day. While most brides are waited on hand and foot, and rightfully so, Joanna, the bride, spent her morning helping out in the makeup department and getting her bridesmaids’ ready, so that was a first. The bridesmaids had gorgeous flower garlands in their hair, which reminded me of that song by Scott McKenzie, “If you are going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair…”, a beautiful song, just like this wedding.
As far as the best men and ushers were concerned, things were every bit as relaxed as they were for the women; dressed in shorts, braces and bowties, the mix of casual and smart was ideal for sunny days like today, and the theme of traditional and modern suited the day perfectly.
Other highlights of this beautiful wedding were: Marius messing about wearing Joanna’s veil; the surprising start to the first dance (or should I say ‘First Dance-Off’!); the strawberries in their exquisite chocolate suits and dresses; and little Superman keeping the rings safe. All in all, Marius and Joanna’s awesome wedding was filled with group hugs, elegant style, cheeky bum pinching (not mine thankfully), and killer dance moves. Huge fun for everyone and a great day to be a part of!
