Carlton Mitre Hotel River View Wedding: Sinead and Philip
I love a good surprise! I love it when you hear a few things you never expected to find out about the people around you. I totally took a few people by surprise myself with stories of my own while Philip and his groomsmen gave me a bit of a trip down the road of their youth as I photographed them getting ready for Philip and Sinead’s wedding day.
The more I heard, the more I was hoping they were going to break out in song given music runs strong in this group of guys, working under a few different band names in their youth. They even showed me some band photography printed drum skins to prove it… when is the reunion tour guys? Even though I wasn’t lucky enough to hear them rock it out (but was promised a CD), it was great fun photographing them having a laugh and even getting a little squished on the local bus as we travelled on to a few cheeky drinks before the ceremony.
Not me, of course, I refrained from a tipple, jumped off beforehand and spent some time photographing Sinead and her chief bridesmaid at the Carlton Mitre Hotel in Hampton Court. Her mum and dad made a visit as well as super cute William… there is a great shot of him taking it easy under a table… as you do!
We all headed to the Lovekyn Chapel in Kingston for the ceremony and as Sinead crossed the busy road, people watched on and waved. With their smiles broadening as she crossed their path, some of the ladies were thinking back to their own wedding day while others were thinking when it would be their turn… could this be a sign?
The weather really picked up after the chapel wedding and we were in for a treat! If you ask any bride what she wants most on her wedding day, it would be a beautiful sunny day, just like the one we had. We managed to fit in some gorgeous images of them both around Hampton Court Bridge and closer by to the river Thames at the Carlton Mitre Hotel later in the evening as the sun turned golden. We were truly lucky, myself especially, having been welcomed by such a great group of people!
