Sweet Red Brick Barn Wedding Rochford Essex
The beauty of getting married in a barn is that you can really personalise it and make your special day your own, and for Graeme and Zoe, the Red Brick Barn in Rochford was the ideal location to reflect their personal tastes. Twinkling fairy lights, strings of photographs and even a sweetie station helped to make the barn interior something really extraordinary, not to mention the guestbook and card station for guests to leave a message for the happy couple.
Graeme was super nervous before the ceremony, which was sweet to see, but once their vows were exchanged and the formalities were out of the way, the couple could relax and enjoy the party. Zoe kicked off the fun by asking the waiters to join straws together so she could drink from the bottle of champagne!
With an umbrella that matched the wedding colours, and a gorgeous fur stole to boot, the bride was well prepared for the British weather while looking glamorous for the couple’s photos outside. The wedding breakfast was in a beautiful marquee complete with bunting, Asian style lanterns and personal touches like tin buckets instead of traditional wine buckets. It would seem that these two had thought of everything!
The wedding breakfast was an informal “help yourself” hot food stall that allowed the guests to enjoy as much or as little as they liked, and the guests all marked their territory and personalised their glasses by writing their names on them, so they didn’t get mixed up – another sweet idea.
Zoe and Graeme’s big day was a real classic British wedding with a bit of a twist, and thanks to what must have been hundreds of crazy-faced selfies, loads of air guitar (with eyes closed of course, you can’t play air guitar properly unless your eyes are closed!), and a sweet and engaging speech from the bride’s father, this was a fantastic and memorable wedding to be a part of.
