Summer Rustic Barn Wedding at Kent Life | Sam & Lee
There’s something truly magical about a rustic barn wedding. Especially when paired with a couple as warm and joyful as Sam and Lee. Their wedding day was a perfect blend of personal touches, family involvement, and the charm of Kent Life. A venue that always delivers incredible settings for unforgettable moments. As a Kent Life Wedding Photographer, this day was a dream come true for me!
The Big Entrance: A Classic Start
Sam arrived at St Margaret’s Church in Barming, Kent, in spectacular style. The wedding party made their entrance in a fleet of Triumph Stag convertibles driven by her father and his close-knit circle of friends. Affectionately known as “the gang.” This unique and personal touch set the tone for a day full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
The ceremony itself was officiated by Wil, one of the most laid-back and engaging vicars I’ve ever met. The relaxed atmosphere he fostered allowed everyone to fully immerse themselves in the couple’s beautiful exchange of vows.
A Reception Full of Kentish Charm
After the ceremony, guests made their way to Kent Life in Sandling, a venue that feels like stepping into a slice of traditional English countryside. Nestled amidst 28 acres of farmland and historic buildings, Kent Life offers an enchanting blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. Making it an ideal choice for a wedding day.
Sam and Lee’s wedding breakfast took place in the Kentish Wagon Store. An airy, light-filled barn adorned with timber beams and twinkling fairy lights. One of the standout features of the space is the traditional Kentish dried hops, strung yearly along the beams. A detail that ties the venue to the area’s rich agricultural heritage. Zest Creative Catering provided a delicious meal that had everyone raving.
Sunset Strolls and Stunning Portraits by a Kent Life Wedding Photographer
As the day transitioned into the golden hour, I had the pleasure of stealing the couple away for a portrait session around Kent Life. The venue’s picturesque outdoor spaces. Think wildflower meadows, charming farm buildings, and vintage wagons. Provided the perfect backdrop for intimate, natural shots. The warm sunset glow only added to the magic, and Sam and Lee’s easygoing nature made capturing these moments a breeze.
Dancing the Night Away at Ulcombe Village Hall
The celebration continued into the night at Ulcombe Village Hall, just a stone’s throw from the Kentish Wagon Store. With the dance floor packed from start to finish, it was clear the guests were there to celebrate Sam and Lee in style.
When I reflect on their day, one thing stands out. The overwhelming sense of community and joy. Every detail, from the vintage cars to the welcoming vibe of Kent Life, came together to create a wedding day that was uniquely theirs.
