A Port Lympne Wedding to Remember: Cacy & Josh

Port Lympne Wedding. When it comes to unforgettable celebrations, a Port Lympne wedding never disappoints. As a photographer who loves to capture the love and luck shared by couples, I had the immense pleasure of documenting Cacy and Josh’s wedding day at this unique venue. This incredible journey began with their engagement session in Battersea Park the year before, setting the stage for a wedding that was nothing short of stunning.

The Perfect Venue for a Port Lympne Wedding

Cacy and Josh chose Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve for their nuptials. A decision that perfectly complemented their love for animals (they have two miniature dachshunds) and adventurous spirits.

The wedding took place in May, we were blessed with beautiful weather… and it provided a stunning backdrop for their day. Port Lympne is not only known for its picturesque landscapes but also for its fascinating residents, adding a touch of the wildness to their celebration.

The Morning Preparations

The morning of the wedding was filled with excitement and tender moments. I love capturing the initial excitement during this part of the day. Cacy got ready in one of the charming treehouses, surrounded by her bridesmaids and mum. While she had her make-up applied, her bridesmaids presented her with a little book of photos, sharing the good times and how lucky they are together.

“The morning was so special for me, getting ready with my Bridesmaids & Mum, the women in my life that I am so thankful to have always been by my side,” Cacy shared. Her dress, from Made with Love, was truly the dress of her dreams. Meanwhile, Josh welcomed guests at the bar, setting a relaxed and jovial tone for the day.

The Unplugged Ceremony

The ceremony was unplugged, allowing everyone to be fully present in the moment. The procession began with Josh walking down the aisle with his mum, followed by Josh’s dad and Cacy’s mum. Next came their siblings, and a delightful flower man scattering petals. The three bridesmaids preceded Cacy, who made her grand entrance with her dad. The ceremony was heartfelt, filled with love and a few nerves, culminating in a beautiful confetti aisle shot organized by the toastmasters.

Capturing Timeless Memories at a Port Lympne Wedding

After the ceremony, we headed to various amazing spots around the venue for some wedding photos. First, we took the bridal party off for a mix of formal and fun shots in front of the mansion’s pond. I put the reflections in the water to good use, they always make for stunning photos. This is a great way to capture timeless images with the stately architecture as a backdrop.

Then just Cacy, Josh and myself headed to the terrace and balcony for the breathtaking views of the estate. It wasn’t until later in the evening that we were able to visit to the Moroccan Courtyard, where Cacy and Josh’s relaxed love for each other shone through in every frame. When we visited the line of trees the sun was setting and it provided a romantic yet fun moment, while the stairs offered a more formal feel to their photos.

The pre wedding photoshoot we had at Battersea Park was a great warm-up for these beautiful shots. Cacy and Josh were naturals in front of the camera, their chemistry undeniable. It was a fun and relaxed part of the day, perfect for capturing couples at their best.

The Port Lympne Wedding Party and Speeches

The wedding breakfast was held in the Orangery, where approximately 135 guests gathered to celebrate the newlyweds. The speeches were a highlight of the day, filled with a lot of inside jokes and a few gifts as well. The best men kicked things off before the meal, followed by heartfelt words from Cacy’s dad and the maid of honour after the main course. Josh concluded the speeches with a touching tribute to his new wife. Half way through his speech a ray a light, like a stage spot light, shone on Josh. Just perfect for photos!

A Night to Remember

As the sun set, the party moved to the dance floor. The cake, a masterpiece by Shelley’s Cakes, was cut, and the couple shared their first dance, a moment of pure joy and love. The music, provided by Kent Pro DJ, kept everyone dancing into the night. The venue’s blend of elegance and wild beauty made it the perfect setting for such a lively celebration.

Reflections and Future Plans

The day after the Port Lympne Wedding, Port Lympne experienced torrential rain, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of Cacy and Josh. Reflecting on the day, Cacy said, “It was the day I married my best friend.” She also cherished the pre-wedding events, including a golf tournament hosted by Josh and a safari and afternoon tea she hosted for their friends and family.

Looking at a sneak peek of their wedding photos, Cacy exclaimed, “Gorgeous photos Terence!!! It was so easy shooting with you, thank you so much.” This feedback means the world to me as a photographer who thrives on capturing such lucky moments.

A Honeymoon to Remember

Following the wedding, Cacy and Josh embarked on a honeymoon to Japan. They were thrilled by the rich culture, delicious food, and the myriad of new experiences. “Every day was just something new. We had a fantastic time,” they shared. Their journey was the perfect start to their married life, filled with adventure and discovery.

Looking Back

Cacy and Josh plan to return to Port Lympne annually to reminisce about their incredible Port Lympne Wedding day. Their story is a testament to love, laughter, and the joy of celebrating life with those who matter most. As a photographer, it was an honour to capture these moments, from their engagement session at Battersea Park to their stunning Port Lympne wedding.

In closing, I’d like to raise a virtual toast to Cacy and Josh. Here’s to many more adventures, laughs, and a lifetime of happiness. Cheers!
